We are happy to announce that Suffolk Accident Rescue Service is our official Charity Partner for 2018.
Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) is an emergency medical charity that has been operating in the Suffolk area since 1972. Originally set up to help the victims of road accidents, SARS has treated thousands of patients and saved countless lives over the last 46 years.
SARS responders are specialists in emergency medicine and anaesthesia and volunteer in their spare time and without charge to help treat critically ill and injured patients in the local community.
The charity’s medics carry equipment and drugs not found on frontline ambulances, which enables them to undertake advanced procedures at incident scenes that would not normally be possible outside the hospital environment. These can be truly life-saving interventions.
SARS receives no central government funding and relies on voluntary donations to support its work.
